Looking for tube amp – lo-wattage for metal guitar

Hey! Looking for a tube amp that kicks ass but won’t break my back. ie. 20-40w combo 1×12.  Need advise!

For Metal, and if you want a combo, and are concerned with your back, you might want to consider a SS combo with about twice as many watts. Rocktron has an 80watt 1×12 combo called Rampage RT80 http://www.rocktron.com/products/rt80.html I haven’t tried it, but it looks very tempting.  It costs about $270 Tube amps are great, but there’re some relatively good sounding high gain SS amps out there, and they weigh less than tube amps. There were some Hiwatt bulldog combos out there that I’d recommend for what you’re looking for. Not a great pick for nu-metal maybe, but I don’t give a fuck. Check out the recent Orange line. Ron

Let me know if you find one. Sorry for the sarcasm, but I don’t know of a match.  "Metal," "combo," "1×12", and "lo-wattage" simply don’t go together in my book.  Best I could suggest is a Dual Rectifier (or Marshall 2204, for lower gain) into a quality sealed 2×12 (but 4×12 is much better). Maybe you just need to buy a handcart?
