New Zeeta Pricing
Question:
Over several months, we’ve been working hard to increase production with the goal of lowering costs. Being able to buy parts in larger quantities always helps. We have also been able to bring some of the work we were out-sourcing in-house, which is another big cost savings. I’m happy to say that we have been so successful, that we are able to pass these savings on. Here’s what we did. We discontinued the Gold series, which eliminates the need to stock incredibly expensive parts. These incredibly over-built amps are still available through Maven Peal’s new custom shop. The Zeeta 0.5->15 has been discontinued. In its place is the Zeeta 0.5->20. One difference includes the standard speaker, now a Jensen C12N (the Blue Bulldog is still available as an option). Another difference with the 0.5->20 involves the power handling capability of the transformers. The transformers I was using with the 0.5->15 were way too capable (30 watts) because I could use the same transformer in both the 0.5->15 and 0.5->30 watt Zeetas. Since our production is up, we can cost-effectively buy transformers of the exact same design with 20 watt power handling capabilities. The 0.5->30 and 0.5->50 are identical to the Silver series. We can offer them at a lower price because we are able to purchase parts in higher quantities, have worked very hard to streamline production, and brought more work into the shop.
