dog/cat
Question:
I’m working on a dog/cat hybrid. It’ll be able to climb up on the roof and bark at intruders.
Response:
<< I’m working on a dog/cat hybrid. It’ll be able to climb up on the roof and bark at intruders. >> There’s the weirdest dog a couple of blocks from me that we see when we go for a walk or bike ride. He’s a biggish dog–I don’t really know dog breeds well, he’s probably a mix but about the size of a collie. He’s always up on the roof of his house, walking around or laying up there. I don’t know how he gets up there but it’s very funny. One day we were walking by and looking up at their roof as we passed and the guy of the house happened to be in the yard and said, "Sorry, no show today. The dog’s in the house." Well, maybe it will dig holes in your yard and purr. Annie

my best friends have a very catty dog
She’s a pinscher mix. She doesn’t care about playing or fetching things and all the dog things. Her real reason for life is being on a human’s lap and get as many cuddles as she can. In change for this she licks your legs, and when she’s tired of licking she starts growling very softly… probably trying to purr!
) She’s lovely, only we had promised her little owner that having a dog would involve a lot of playing and launching balls and running in the park… luckily enough they love eachother very much anyway
)
Response:
As far as being a dog, Xena doesn’t mind following me everywhere, walking by my leg, I actually hold the end of her tail as we do! She NEVER loses the sight of me when I am at home, she waits at the door by the time I arrive…and growls at strangers!I don’t need her to be any more ‘doggy’ as she already is, LOL! Regards, Andr0 & >^^<

As far as running in the park, Xena would go for it! Unfortunately, we are renting an apartment, and in Australia it means death to a pet, so I keep her in ‘hiding’. But she would love to play fetch! I actually trained her to walk on a lead, and she handles a harness very well..one day, soon….

Years ago, I had a smallish border collie that was "raised" by my cats. She used to sit on windowsills (if the window was open, otherwise they were too narrow) or perch on the porch railing like a cat. If the window was open directly above an eave that went up to the roof, she would go out the window and climb up on the roof. I think your neighbor has a dog raised by cats.
